Free Public Transport for Telethon Family Festival 2022

Free event public transport can help reduce road congestion, ease parking frustrations, entice more customers and is of course, better for the environment!

We’re proud to provide expert public transport services and advice to our Government and event partners to ensure a brilliant experience for the community and customers!

Swan Transit Depot Coordinator Jerry Jenkins joined some of the WA Telethon performers to promote the festival’s free public transport this Sunday 23 October.

Telethon is in its 55th year, raising more than $457 million to better the lives of children.

Western Australian Minister for Transport Rita Saffioti said Telethon was an “iconic” event that the McGowan Government was proud to get behind.

“When the idea of holding the Telethon Family Festival in the CBD was first floated with me, there was no doubt in my mind we had to put on free public transport across the entire network to get families to and from the city,” she said.

“My message to the community is to leave the car at home, jump on a free bus or train and join in the fun.

“To help get people to and from the event, we will be boosting services on the day, with more six-car trains in service to get people to and from the city.”
