National Road Safety Week 2023

National Road Safety Week is an annual initiative from the Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group, partnering road safety organisations and Government. The week highlights the impact of road trauma and ways to reduce it. National Road Safety Week is a crucial reminder for all of us to remain vigilant and prioritise safety whether we are operating a vehicle, cycling, or walking near roads and vehicles. Road safety is not limited to drivers, but for everyone on the road, and it requires a collective effort to be an attentive driver, a cautious cyclist, and a mindful pedestrian.

That is why we take National Road Safety Week very seriously and use this time to highlight the importance of safe driving practices not just for our employees, but for our families, friends and the communities we serve.

Transit Systems has been actively participating in National Road Safety Week since 2019 and this year our entire team, not just drivers, across the country will be taking the pledge and acknowledging National Road Safety week with a yellow ribbon on their uniform which will also adorn some of our fleet. We want to encourage all individuals to eliminate distractions, be alert at all times, and prioritize safety while on the road. By doing so, we can all play a role in reducing accidents and keeping our roads safe for everyone.

So jump onto the National Road Safety Week website and take the pledge to drive so others survive, today!  >>>LINK
